Arrivée en Uruguay le samedi 2 septembre au matin , nous nous sommes installé dans un petit hôtel à proximité de notre transporteur qui à réceptionné notre véhicule au port de Montévidéo , parce que nous ne pouvions pas être la pour récupérer notre 4×4 suite à la maladie de Patricia ( voir dans le voyage au Brésil), Olivier et Rachida qui ont l’agence à Montévideo ont très bien gérer la situation et ont parqué notre véhicule avant la douane au port de Montévidéo .

A cette saison nous sommes encore en hiver le printemps débutera le 21 septembre et pourtant nous avons eu cette semaine de merveilleuses journées très ensoleillé avec des températures avoisinant les 20 degrés pour découvrir cette ville qui cache plein de trésor.

C’ est aussi cela qui fait le charme de cette ville on voit de temps à autre des véhicules d’une autre époque déambuler parmi la vie d’une ville moderne.

Le 28 février 1923 a ete inauguré le monument en hommage à JOSE GERVASIO ARTIGAS, sur la place de l’indépendance par Baltasar Brum , président de l’Uruguay ,qui était à la fin de son mandat présidentiel. Le général José Artigas fut celui qui mena son pays à son indépendance.
LA PUERTA DE LA CLUDADELA
Bien que Montévidéo fut autrefois une ville fortifié avec des murs majestueux et une entrée en hautes pierres , la citadelle coloniale fut démolie en 1829 tout ce qui reste aujourd’hui est la porte de pierre., appelé la porte de la citadelle.
Dans un quartier près de la mer on trouve plusieurs restaurants qui font de la cuisine basé sur le barbecue on peut pas dire que les prix sont moins chers que l’Europe l’Uruguay est le pays le plus cher de l’Amérique du sud ce n’est pas pour rien que l’on le surnomme la petite Suisse de l’Amériqe du sud.

Nous recontrons très souvent des voitures d’un autre age souvent très bien entretenu.

Et puis c’est la surprise la route se termine sur une rivière on doit prendre un bac c’est l’aventure qui commence.
c’est bon nous pouvons repartir sur la terre ferme.
La gastronomie est très lié à la viande, bœuf, mouton ,porc.
Pas toujours facile de trouver de l’eau alors quand on a cette chance même avec un sceau je remplis car les embouts ne sont pas toujours les bons.
Nous arrivons à la frontière du Brésil le décor devient de plus en plus sauvage avec des grands espaces, vaches , moutons ,chevaux .
Les habitations sont souvent très colorées ce qui donne une certaine gaieté à la ville.
On se croirait au Far West , typique de l’Amérique du sud .
